New speed cameras will catch more speeding drivers

It appears that the large bright yellow coloured speed cameras that we have all grown to love and probably more of us, hate, are to be replaced by an even more accurate, and yet almost invisible type of speed camera.
These cameras are following the obsession of the government and local authorities to not just catch people speeding, which in some cases is a good thing, but fill the bank accounts of the local authorities with unearned cash, who in turn pass the money over to the government, who spend it on who knows what. The tiny new cameras are to be placed in the same spots in the road as cat eyes are, and you have got it right, they do actually look like cat eyes too.
The cameras are said to be more accurate and can take the same pin point images of the car and the number plate, being placed in the middle of the road means that they can catch drivers coming both ways on the road, and they are so technically advanced that they are self cleaning, so even when it has been raining heavy and there has been water spray, mud and dirt all over the road there will be no escape from being caught.
When technology like this comes on line, it would be fool hardy for any driver to assume that they cannot be caught by these little cameras, is this a good thing or not? There are two ways of looking at it, 1, No, because it is not a fair way of catching drivers out, because in the past it was the police who did this, they have portable speed cameras and if you were speeding then you knew it, because they pulled you over, yet in some cases they may have just informed you that you were slightly over the speed limit and sent you on your way. 2, Yes, because speeding in car is dangerous and persistent speeders will be banned from driving and therefore will be off the road, or so we all think. Also the remote speed cameras have no sympathy, if you are doing a couple of miles over the limit then you get a ticket within fourteen days, which in most cases is the first that you will know about it.
One thing is for sure, no matter how you feel about these new speed cameras, if they do make it onto the roads, then driving will become less of a pleasure and more stressful.
