Car Manufacturers in Europe are to face charges for recycling their old cars.
As suspected a while ago new European Union legislation will probably force car makers to pay for the future scrapping costs of their vehicles, this is just one more law that the European Union is planning in order to offset the cost of waste disposal and its effects on the environment.

This will clearly mean that the cost of this estimated on the average cost of scrapping the car, with the car makers working to ever tighter profit margins every year, this will hurt the car makers severely and the only way that they will be able to stay a float is to pass the charges on to the customers, thereby increasing the price that they have to pay for their cars.

The costs are for cars built before 2002! And will amount to several hundred million euros to each car maker, and then for cars built after 2002 there will be an annual fee of approximately three percent of the cost of the vehicle. It is estimated that the average cost of recycling a car throughout Europe is around 180 euros and there are around twelve million cars scrapped each year and that is not only a lot of money, its a lot of cars!
