Mitsubishi's Ralliart Colt Version R

This mini sized Mitsubishi package certainly packs a punch. It seems to be Mitsubishi's performance small car that a lot of manufacturers seem to be releasing in Australia. The muscles behinds this mini powerhouse is a turbo charged 1.5 litre engine that pumps out an impressive 113kw. A modest number at first but Mitsubish emphasises the power in the low rev range - an area I personally think is overlooked too often. The peak torque comes on at around 2000 rpm meaninng nearly immediately power delivery.

THe transmission boasts a 5 speed manual or a 6 manual CVT in an unfortunate front wheel drive layout.

Visually it is rather stunning, being described as the Mitsubishi Evolution's little brother. Bonnet scoop, bodykit which inlcludes fornt spoiler lip and side skirts, as well as the flared wheelarches that give the Colt an aggressive stance. The interior continues with the sporty look with aluminium sports pedals and one of my favourites, Recaro sports seats!

Now currently this model is NOT being sold in Australia. Its on sale in Japan however with a pricetag of just under 2 million yen. Which is about $23,000. A fair sum for a cool little car.
Mitsubishi Australia has said that they will bring the car here to Australia if there is enough demand for it. So if YOU want to see the Mitsubishi Ralliart Colt Version R in Australia, write to Mitsubishi Australia here. I have!!

I just wrote to them - I hope they bring them over! I wouldn't mind seeing Evo's little bro being driven around town. It looks fabulous!

I have already written a email to Mitsubishi on my interest for this Ralliart Colt Version R. And they gave me a call the very next day. They told me they are also hoping for this little to come over, but they can't comfirm it as yet! Now, that's what i called service.
