Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8
Now the Americans love their big four wheel drives. In a time of high fuel prices you would think that car companies would be making cars that are smaller and more economical. Not Jeep.
Only a limited release of SRT8 Jeep Gran Cherokees are coming to Australia and I think that they will get snapped up pretty quickly. It has a 6.1L HEMI V8 (approx 313kw) and is faster than a BMW X5 and the Porsche Cayenne. Pricing here is around the $80k mark, so it is 'reasonable' for a fully optioned 4x4. Don't think that many would want to take this baby off the road though.
Now, it does have nice looks and no one would want to mess with you on the roads, but it does guzzle. I think for combined its somewhere between the 17-20l per 100km, depending on how much lead you have in your foot.
