Initial D Street Stage Game Tips
June 19th 2006 23:22
I've had Initial D Street Stage on PSP for nearly 3 weeks now and I am roughly half way through it. There are a couple things that I have found out about it that may help players go about things.
1. All the cars are very similar yet different. While initial impression of driving a few different cars, there doesn’t seem that much difference in straight line speed. Cornering is a different issue as the cars respond differently. I find that the bigger cars (eg: BNR34 GTR) are very heavy to steer, provoking understeer to the corners and the smaller lighter cars (eg: SW20 MR2, AE86) are lighter with their steering, oversteering much on corners. Seeing as the cars are "free" experiment with them and find one that suits you
3. Brakes. 90% of the time you won't need them. I have read sites where people claim to have finished the game without lifting off the throttle and I find it hard to believe. Without the brakes is definitely possible though. Before the corner, lift off the throttle, take the hairpin wide and turn in sharply.
Tips about cards:
1. First and foremost, download this card guide written by some guy with the alias Odie. It tells you what the cards are and how best to get them. It is hosted by GameFAQs
Bunta Challenge Mode!
You will notice that there is one menu that isn’t avialble to you from the start. This is Bunta Challenge Mode. To access this you will have to beat every single race on The Main Legends of The Street mode, then after viewing the credits, view card #163 which then unlocks the Bunta Challenge Mode.
Hmmm thats all for now. Happy driving and drifting!!

As a fellow racer, I have just beat bunta on akina (the question mark) and i unlocked bunta's challenge. Now im able to face him on any map. There is also a weird star guide at the side that shows bunta getting stronger everytime i beat him. If u have more info or if you would like tips on any maps, feel free to ask. you can talk to me by adding me on msn (gundam_ace@hotmail.com) or email.
Thank you for your time,
