MADD call for harder drink driving rules.
An organisation devoted to the elimination of drinking and driving or rather being drunk and driving, though it is sometimes not that clear how to distinguish between to two, have put together a four point plan in order to make the detection and prosecution of those that drink and drive are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and that the authorities are enabled to do their job, this of course will cost at lot and take a huge chunk out of budgets, but never the less this is a serious matter, in the USA alone there are nearly 13,000 people killed by a drunk driver every year this is a enormous amount of deaths and that does not take into consideration those that are injured and the families and friends left behind.
One part of the plan would be to have a system installed into convicted drivers that would need them to use a breathalyser in order for them to start their car, they say that the technology is out there and could easily be integrated into the vehicle, sounds good so far, but as with any system that relies on technology, this will surely be by passed, either by some sort of gadget or the most simple and effective method of the driver just getting someone else to blow into the tube, maybe we will see a sideline of drink free people who charge for their services.
