Cars in China.
For many years China has been a outsider, its borders closed to many people, and even those who managed to get in behind the great wall were only allowed to visit certain cities and places within those cities, how things have changed over the past decade, if any one would have said that one day China would hold an F1 Grand Prix in a state of the art circuit complex and would be holding the Olympics in 2012? Well these are now facts of Chinese life the country is now well on the way to becoming a consumer super power.
So what effect will this be having on the western world and the goods that the still produce? The Chinese market has great influence on the buying of such goods and so naturally the manufactures will of do their best to gain a foothold in a market that currently boasts having 300,000 millionaires whose tastes are somewhat different to the western buyers. Cars will soon be catering for this market and the people within it, so as with in the past certain market places which have persuaded manufacturers and governments to cater for their needs and demands, we will too be seeing the influence of the Chinese marketplace on the car industry that produces our best known and long established brands. This can be only good for the consumers as in China the benchmark for cars in Mercedes Benz and Lexus therefore in order to sell cars in China all other manufactures will need to raise their game and compete at the top level.
