Audi Le Mans winning team partners again with US software company PTC.
The Audi racing arm, Audi Sport will be entering their eleventh consecutive year in the racing next year, 2007! They have once again announced that they will be having on board again the US software company PTC based in Needham, Mass, they have provided in the past Product development solutions and information & process management systems.
Audi Sport have been involved in motor sport at different levels including the Le Mans series where last year for the first time they run a diesel engined race car and at the Sebring 12 hours, they won both races and were the first team running a diesel engine to do so, quite an achievement when you thing about the the difference between road going diesel and petrol engines. They also compete in the German Saloon Masters (DTM) in this series the team used Audi A4's which run a V8 engine.
For a company like PTC having Audi Sport as a partner is good for on the job product development and management, this is a situation where the work is ever changing and forever on going as all the teams develop the cars as they go.
