Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster unveiled
Aston Martin has released pictures of its V8 Vantage Roadster, which is being launched later this month at the Los Angeles Motor Show.
Developed alongside the V8 Vantage Coupe, the Roadster is powered by the same 4.3-litre V8.
Producing 380bhp and 302 lb/ft of pulling power, the Roadster accelerates from 0-60mph 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 175mph.
The Roadster has a six-speed manual as standard, but buyers can opt for the Sportshift ‘flappy paddle’ automated manual gearbox.
Inside, the Aston features a full grain leather interior, automatic temperature control, driver, passenger and side airbags and a 160 watt Aston Martin sound system with six CD autochanger.
The hood is opened or closed at the press of a button in just 18 seconds, and can be operated at speeds of up to 30mph.
Optional extras include 19-inch alloys, sat-nav, a 700 watt sound system with Dolby Pro Logic II and an Aston Martin umbrella and holder.
Expect to pay around £90,000 for the Vantage Roadster, which will go on sale in the second quarter of 2007.
