I am all for road safety, but this one takes the cake. Imagine you are driving along a road, some Idiot Driver turns into your lane without indicating, cutting you off and nearly causing an accident as you slam your brakes. What can you do (that's legal)? Not much. You can yell and swear all you want at them but he won't care one bit.

1. If all drivers were aware that any member of the community had an easily accessible public forum
on which to display the details of a vehicle allegedly being driven unsafely, they may be less
inclined to drive in that manner.
2. The data collected by idiotdriver.com.au may prove valuable to authorities at it provides an indication
of what is happening on our roads and what issues concern the public. For example the data already
collected shows some uncertainty about the "Keep Left" rules, and an obvious disregard for the laws
that govern the use of mobile phones while driving.
3. By giving drivers a forum in which to express their opinion about other driver’s behavior the incidence
of physical road rage may be reduced.

What is interesting about this particular site is that the majority of "Idiot Drivers" that are poster are found to be fully-licensed drivers, not the dreaded P-Plater hoons that the media seem to love. Theres food for thought.
